The Planning & Building Department is offering virtual appointments for services that include counter meetings with a planner, building/planning permit submittals, and many more!  Please review the Planning and Building Department Guidance below for instructions on what services are currently being offered and how to schedule.

A virtual appointment is not required for a building permit submission.  Please send your complete submittal and / or any questions you may have to planbuild@portolavalley.net. Your submittal will be reviewed for completeness, and you will be notified if your submission is acceptable or if we need additional information.  Also feel free to contact us in the office, we are available via phone Monday through Friday, 8am – 5pm at  (650) 851-1700.  Our lobby is open Monday through Thursday, 8am – Noon.

 

To make a Virtual Counter Appointment with a Planner use the Service Request Portal below, navigate to the “Planning Permit Submittal” select your appointment type and complete all the required information concerning the project. If you want confirmation of your request, please be sure to "Sign Up" on PV Connect. You can also download the PV Connect App onto your smartphone, following the instructions below.

  • You can provide additional details as you wish, and even attach a photo.  PV Connect will automatically know the issue location if you have enabled your device’s GPS and location services.  

    Your request will be routed to the Portola Valley team member(s) responsible for addressing your concern. You can share your concern with others (called “followers”), and you all can track the status and resolution of the request right from your phone!

    Local government functions best when everyone participates in identifying and solving issues. With PV Connect, businesses, residents and visitors alike can work together for an even better Town!
