Neighborhood Clean-Up Day

Neighborhood Clean-Up Day
Saturday, October 4th from 8 to 11 am

Do you have old computer monitors, electronic equipment, lawn furniture, pots and pans, etc. that need to be cleaned out of your garage or home? Would you like to safely dispose of old or expired medications? The Town of Portola Valley and GreenWaste have partnered with Goodwill to incorporate a “Give ‘n Go” station as part of the Neighborhood Clean-Up Day. A Sheriff’s Office Deputy will also be at the event to collect old medications. Please review the flyer and load your vehicle accordingly!

This event is free for Portola Valley residents, so please bring a copy of your GreenWaste garbage bill or the flyer insert as proof of residency.

The flyer describes the kinds of things that are accepted, as well as those items that are not. Please note that hazardous materials will not be accepted at this Neighborhood Clean-Up Day event. Please call the County of San Mateo Household Hazardous Waste Program at 650.363.4718 or visit http://events.smhealth.org/events/ to schedule a drop-off appointment. Also, you may wish to note that the Town will sponsor a Household Hazardous Waste Disposal event here in Portola Valley on October 11th.

For more information or questions, please contact Brandi de Garmeaux at (650) 851-1700, ext. 222 or contact GreenWaste directly at (650) 568-9900.
