Wildland Drill & Evacuation

Woodside Fire Protection District (WFPD) is hosting a Wildland Fire Exercise in Woodside on Saturday, May 16th from 9am to 4pm. Old La Honda Road will be closed to thru traffic and limited to residents from approximately 8am to 3pm.
This drill will include a voluntary evacuation for residents of Old La Honda Road. Firefighter crews will stage at Lawler Ranch Road and simulate wildland firefighting operations in the neighborhoods along Old La Honda Road.
The Town of Woodside and WFPD will notify residents during the drill using SMC Alert and an automated emergency telephone messaging system "Rapid Notify." The San Mateo County Office of Emergency Services will also be participating.
