Portola Valley Farmers' Market, Thursdays 2 to 5 pm

New this week:
Please welcome our brand new vendor, Santa Cruz Pasta Factory! More than a dozen different kinds of ravioli and gnocchi, plus fresh, handmade pasta and sauces.
Fruits & Veggies, Meat & Eggs:
* Asparagus is in season now, as well as leeks, scallions, broccoli, broccolini and cauliflower, lettuce mixes and arugula, beets and carrots, assorted potatoes and sweet potatoes, jerusalem artichokes, kale, chard and more. Field of Greens and Rio de Parras are both from about an hour south in San Juan Bautista and bring the best of the season to us here in PV each week.
* Cara Cara oranges and Navels are super delicious right now as are the blood oranges, and you can find them at the Sunrise Farm booth along with Oro Blanco grapefruits, Fuerte avocados and Asian pears. There are Aztec fujis, Pink Lady apples and Granny Smiths at the Smit Farm booth along with fresh juices and organic almonds and dried fruits.
* Crescent Farm brings gorgeous, big free-range eggs from his flock in Scotts Valley. Green Eggs-n-Jam (Maggie’s eggs) are back as the new girls are finally laying! Victorian Farmstead has farmstead eggs from Sebastapol and an assortment or organic and humanely raised meats and chicken, and the best bacon anywhere.
Other delicious items:
Local honey, fresh One Ocean Seafood, Roli Roti, freshly made nut butters and jams, tasty organic popcorns for movie night, lots of delicious treats including Shampa’s Pies, Flourchylde Gluten-Free Bakery (pronounced Flour Child) and Spoon & Spatula with Megan’s recreations of your favorite childhood treats (animal cookies, Oreos and graham crackers) and her new raw granola bars. Sinbad Catering brings ready-made entrees, soups, salads and delicious & healthy dips and housemade pita chips. Maggie is making Vegan Coconut Cashew Fudge this week, stop by for a sample!

Next Week – March 17th:
Thulani Dog Rescue will be visiting the market with two German shepherds, who are available for adoption. Thulani places older animals that are in need of a safe and loving environment to reestablish quality of what short life they have left and is part of German Shepherd Rescue of Northern California.
