Mark your calendars for the annual Portola Valley Town Picnic!  Start the day at 9:00 am with the Zots to Tots foot and bicycle race from the Alpine Inn to the Portola Valley Town Center, then enjoy fun and games for the whole family at the Town Center!


Schedule of Activities

9:00 am Registration begins for Zots to Tots Race
10:00 am Race begins ~ good luck everyone!
10:30 am Picnic begins ~ join the fun!
  • Carnival by the Cub Scouts
  • Inflatable Jumpy Fun
  • Cake Walk by the Girl Scouts
  • Concessions by the Girl Scouts
  • BBQ by the Boy Scouts
  • Community/Committee Tables
11:30 am Music by Samurai Gypsies (until 1:00 pm) and Beer & Wine Bar
2:00 pm Picnic ends ~ thank you for coming!

Zots to Tots Race Registration

Sheldon Breiner celebrates another successful run!

The Parks & Recreation Committee invites all residents to participate in our fun 2.5 mile race from Rossotti's (Alpine Inn) to the Town Center. Pre-registration closed on May 31st, but you can register at the race on Saturday (t-shirts cannot be guaranteed for day-of race registration). 

  • Race check-in begins at 9:00 am, with the race starting at 10:00 am at Rossotti's (Alpine Inn) on Alpine Road.
  • Registration fee is $20 per adult, $30 per couple and $45 for a family of up to five.
  • Each participant is to write their age on their bibs to help the end line judges to determine the winners.
  • The race course starts on Alpine Road in front of Rossotti's, travels to Portola Road where it turns right and ends at the PV Town Center, 100 yards down the side road to the tennis courts and Spring Down Equestrian Center.
  • T-shirts will be handed out at the end of the race.

PLEASE NOTE: Scooters and bikes are allowed. Race organizers encourage children 4 and under to ride a trike or bike ONLY if accompanied by an adult. Questions? E-mail towncenter@portolavalley.net.
