Farmers' Market - Thur 2 to 5 pm - New Bread Vendor


Portola Valley Farmers' Market, a year 'round Thursday event

THIS WEEK: 
Thursday, November 17th,  NEW bread vendor, author book signing, healthy food demo and local wine! (2-5pm)

* Brand new artisan bread vendor, L’Atelier du Pain begins this Thursday! Fiona bakes naturally leavened, whole grain breads with stone milled sustainably grown California wheat!

* Len Lehman joins us with his Portola Vineyards Pinot Noir. Perfect for Thanksgiving celebration. Wine club memberships make the perfect gift. Samples? You bet!

* New York Times best-selling author, Erin Gleeson of Skylonda joins us with both her brand new books, Forest Feast Gatherings and The Forest Feast for Kids!  3-5pm on the schoolhouse steps! 

* Local Chef Laura Stec of Innovative Cuisine cooks up our November Healthy Food Demo - Quick Dinner Fix sponsored by Ron Ramies Automotive in PV.

* Join Grassroots Ecology for a planting and weeding workday at Sausal Creek (between the farmers' market and library)! Help improve habitat for native insects, birds, fish and other animals as we work to help restore the "bottom of the food chain" - our native plants that support all other native life. Volunteers of all ages are welcome; minors under 18 require a signed waiver and children under 12 require an accompanying adult unless prior approval is obtained from the workday supervisor.

Lots of scrumptious farm fresh fruit in season including the first of the citrus, lots of veggies, MICROGREENS, strawberries and flowers, HONEY, farmstead meat, chicken and eggs, fresh seafood and crab call or text Patrick 650-222-8685, freshly pressed juices, nuts and nut butters, lots of bakery and sweets.

Healthy ready-to-eats from Sinbad Catering, Mama Coco’s Cocina Mexicana,  and Roli Roti rotisserie chickens and potatoes.

NEXT WEEK: Be sure to note that market will be held on Wednesday, Nov 23rd the week of Thanksgiving since we will of course be closed Thursday for the holiday.

Knife Sharpening has been changed to November 23rd. Get that carving knife sharpened while you pick up your turkey, veggies, pies and artisan breads.
