Fire Mitigation Work on Town Right of Ways and Land
To keep in alignment with the Town Council’s adopted Wildfire Preparedness recommendations, the Town of Portola Valley Public Works Department and the Woodside Fire Protection District have partnered together to address the Town’s annual public roadside right-of-way tree and brush trimming and the Town Wildfire Preparedness recommendations. The areas to be addressed were determined by Town staff, Public Works and the Woodside Fire Department.

Prioritize vegetation management on the Town’s right-of-way and main evacuation routes
Identify public right-of -way ignition sources
Produce and maintain shaded fuel breaks (shaded canopy) as defined by WFPD along roadways with large adjacent parcels of land
