Ad Hoc Site Evaluation Committee
The Town is seeking applicants to fill four positions on an Ad Hoc Site Evaluation Committee. Vice Mayor, Judith Hasko and Councilmember, Mary Hufty are the selection sub-committee for the Town Council and are looking broadly for interested and informed residents to consider, from diverse perspectives, sites for affordable housing that have been brought forward by the Sunrise Outreach Subcommittee of the Town Council in 2024.
Specifically, the Ad Hoc Site Evaluation Committee will review the work product of the Sunrise Outreach Subcommittee and any other opportunities that arise during its term, to identify affordable housing sites that individually or collectively will serve as an alternative to the site designated in our Housing Element at Dorothy Ford Park and Open Space.
The Ad Hoc Site Evaluation Committee will be composed of one member each from the Town Council, Planning Commission and ASCC, as well as 4 community members. The committee will commence activities in October with a goal of providing a final report as soon as reasonably feasible, but in any event before June 30, 2025.
We would like to complete the interviews and selection of the 4 resident at-large members, as well as the ASCC, Planning Commission and Town Council members of the Ad Hoc Site Evaluation Committee, for presentation to the Council at the October 23rd Council meeting on the consent agenda.
